As people of faith, isn't that our call? Certainly Jesus preached that and although it might be viewed as idealistic - we need to stand up and be counted. Together, we can make a difference.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07114918079342462577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6034302346804708530.post-64185683604568078202011-01-17T16:38:37.316-05:002011-01-17T16:38:37.316-05:00Martin once said: "The nonviolent approach do...Martin once said: "The nonviolent approach does not immediately change the heart of the oppressor. It first does something to the hearts and souls of those committed to it. It gives them new self-respect; it calls up resources of strength and courage that they did not know they had. Finally it reaches the opponent and so stirs his conscience that reconciliation becomes a reality....I've decided that I'm going to do battle for my philosophy. I have not found any happy medium. Maybe because I'm a woman and men are threatened by women who speak up. But, as I said, as long as I do the "happy airy stupid nice" thing I'm fine, but as soon as I speak up or speak out, all hell breaks loose.lizziewriterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04458626487612836751noreply@blogger.com
